FAQs
At the time the land was purchased, it was in a very undeveloped area. Since then, it has grown into an industrial corridor that would not be a good location for a church.
Each campus will be led by a Campus Director, who oversees the ministry at the campus. Each campus will have its own worship team and children’s ministry. Messages will be shared via video from our I Street campus. Not every program or project at our I Street campus will come to the other campuses, as the needs of each individual campus will be considered before ministry decisions are made.

Services will be in modern style. There will be live worship, baptisms, communion, prayers, and special moments. The message will be on video and will be of whoever is preaching at the I Street location.

No. We are going with a “start small, not all” approach. We’ve separated things into three categories.
- Things/programs that start immediately: Worship, Kids, Students, Community Partnerships, Connect Groups
- Things/programs we may not start with but may come with time: men’s and women’s ministries, overseas missions, VBS
- Things/programs we love but won’t have at KOKNW: Classic Grace service, the CORE counseling
These aren’t all inclusive lists.
Northwest Omaha will not have Night to Shine as I Street does. We may have a Back to School event or may join with I Street for that event. We may have some events that I Street does not have.
Yes. We are in a long-term contract with Concordia and are pleased to partner with them for years to come. We will have our own name and logo on the building and will be striving to work with and bless the Concordia staff and students on a consistent basis.
Yes, thanks to the help of Disney Elementary’s principal, we have a partnership with Standing Bear Elementary. Standing Bear is part of OPS.

We’re so glad you asked. Contact Peter Baye at [email protected] and let him know. He’ll be so happy to hear from you.
Yes, there will be set up and take down each Sunday. We will need people who like to get up early to come and help with setups. We will construct stage, worship space, kids areas, and hospitality each Sunday. This may sound like a lot, but it’s a great opportunity for us to work together to do something big.
Once the Auditorium is completed, this process will become less strenuous, but still needed.
