ANNOUNCEMENTS

City Serve 2024

All Campuses
City Serve is an annual opportunity for churches in Omaha and nearby communities to unite in spreading love and compassion throughout the city. This year, City Serve will span from September 22 to September 28. King of Kings will join forces with Open Door Mission, the American Red Cross, Disney Elementary School, the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department, and various other organizations for service projects throughout the week.
City Serve embodies the idea of unity among multiple churches for the betterment of the city. Thousands of volunteers will contribute over 10,000 hours of service in collaboration with local schools, city parks, food banks, blood banks, children’s hospitals, children’s homes, senior homes, homeless shelters, first responders, juvenile centers, and more! It’s not just an event; it’s a movement of individuals who express their love for our city through both words and deeds, dedicated to its growth. Sign up now for a project – it’s free, and you’ll receive a complimentary t-shirt. For additional information and registration, visit kingofkings.org/cityserve.

Connect Groups: 2024 Fall Season

All Campuses
Humans were created to have community and connection with one another, but we often feel like we just don’t have time for new relationships. Join a Connect Group and you’ll experience the life-changing effect that authentic community centered around God’s word can have on your life. Find your Connect Group and sign up at kingofkings.org/groups!
This 10-week season will begin on September 25 and conclude on November 13. We’ll follow our Sunday sermon series and examine how the book of Acts displays the power of generosity.
Many Connect Groups meet in homes throughout the week, and King of Kings also hosts Connect Groups on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45PM. Children’s programming is provided on these nights, as well as a meal courtesy of our food team from 5:30-6:30PM.

Student Ministry

All Campuses
Middle School Ministry (Grades 6-8):
Join us for our Middle School Ministry at I Street on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45PM, starting on September 9. Wednesday evenings are a great time to bring friends to experience church with you. We encourage students to invite others to join them.
Middle school students from our Northwest Campus will be transported to I Street until we have enough students to have their own ministry. Once a month, we will have special events that are designed to be inclusive and inviting.
Students not taking part in confirmation will be encouraged to volunteer at King of Kings on Sunday mornings.
High School Ministry, Grades 9-12:
Come be a part of our High School Ministry at I Street on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45PM, beginning September 9. Wednesday evenings are a perfect opportunity to introduce your friends to a church event. Let’s grow together and welcome others to join us.
High school students from our Northwest Campus will also be brought to I Street until they have enough students to establish their own ministry. Expect highly-engaging events tailored specifically for high schoolers once a month, distinct from those for middle school students.
Even though both groups will gather for worship, middle and high school students will have separate activities appropriate for their respective ages for the remainder of the evening. High schoolers will have the chance to serve at King of Kings on Sunday mornings.
