Serve at Night to Shine

All Campuses

Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Friday, February 7, 2025, thousands will come together around the world to honor those with disabilities and their caregivers with a night of fun. We would love for you to partner with us to elevate the experience for parents and honored guests. We are planning for 225 honored guests, 200 plus parents or caregivers, and over 400 volunteers at the event on February 7.

Ade’ Idowu

I Street Campus

Experience an impactful Students Night on February 12 as we welcome speaker Ade’ Idowu from the Abide Lighthouse group. An inner-city non-profit focused on transforming neighborhoods one at a time. Ade will share insights on viewing people in different lights, emphasizing that everyone is equal and deserving of God’s grace, even when working alongside challenging individuals in his ministry. Don’t miss this chance to hear about his courageous work!

First Communion • Northwest Campus

Northwest Campus
First Communion will be on April 13 during the 9:15AM or 11AM service. All kids in Grades 5 and above are invited to participate. To prepare for First Communion, kids, and parents will attend the following events together:
Classes
Classes for kids and their parents/guardians will be on March 19, 26, and April 2 from 6:30-7:45PM. These classes will prepare kids to receive Holy Communion for the first time. They’ll learn about Holy Communion and why we partake in it as a congregation. Other topics will include faith, God’s gift of grace, and the sacraments.
Seder Meal
The Seder Meal will take place on April 9 from 6:30PM to 7:45PM. Kids and their parents are invited to join us for an Old Testament Passover Meal while learning more about its importance to our faith.

Bricktacular Family Building Challenge

Join us for the Bricktacular Family Building Challenge on February 21 from 5:30-7:30PM! Enjoy pizza, games, prizes, and a fun LEGO building competition. This event is free, so be sure to invite your friends!

European Rivers and Castles Tour

All Campuses
As Pastor Roger officially retires on August 3, he’s celebrating by leading a Rivers and Castles Tour in Europe with his wife, Cheryl. This adventure is from September 30 to October 9, with options to tour Prague and/or Paris. Together we’ll visit inspiring sites and cultures, as well as have plenty of fun. The greatest inspiration comes from the God of grace who’s active in our lives! The theme for this trip is “Majesty!” and each day features an insightful devotional thought. Join us for a fun-filled adventure and get inspired along the way!

Connect Groups: 2025 Winter Season

Humans were created to have community and connection with one another, but we often feel like we just don’t have time for new relationships. Join a Connect Group and you’ll experience the life-changing effect that authentic community centered around God’s word can have on your life. Find your Connect Group and sign up at kingofkings.org/groups!
This season will begin January 29 and run through April 2. Many Connect Groups meet in homes throughout the week, and King of Kings also hosts Connect Groups on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45PM. Children’s programming is provided on these nights, as well as a meal courtesy of our food team from 5:30-6:30PM.

Loss of a Spouse Seminar

Grieving the death of a spouse or know someone who is? Your life has changed forever and the daily emotions and challenges can sometimes seem too hard to bear. Join us for an encouraging seminar, where others that are experiencing similar losses come together. Our Loss of Spouse Seminar will be taking place at King of Kings in the CORE Gathering Room.

2025 LCMS Youth Gathering

All Campuses

The 2025 National Youth Gathering will be held in New Orleans, LA, from July 19-23. King of Kings will be sending a group to the gathering. More information and pricing will be available soon, but get the dates on your calendar!

Matthew Bible Study

Starting December 1, Neil Fortkamp will lead a Bible study on Matthew for any interested adults from 8-9AM at King of Kings Northwest, in room 308.

MomCo 2024-Spring 2025

I Street Campus

Looking for fellowship and community with other women? Join King of Kings’ MomCo group!

Led by Erica Prest & Azalia Wheeler, this group will meet two Fridays each month from 9:30-11:30AM in the Haven (Sept. 13-May 9).

MomCo is an international organization that encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. Any mother, from pregnant with first child to empty nester, is welcome (childcare will be provided). The mothers enjoy hot breakfast and coffee while listening to speakers, participating in group discussion, doing creative activities, going through devotionals, planning service projects, and creating deep friendships. Mothers do not have to be believers to join. Local and international dues apply.

We’re excited to give you free access to RightNow Media — an extensive library of Bible study resources. We believe that RightNow Media is a tool that can help you live out your faith in every area of your life—at home, at work, and in your community. In addition to video series on books of the Bible, RightNow Media has videos for everyone in your family on a variety of topics like marriage, parenting, personal finances, mental health, and more. There’s even a library just for kids with over 2,000 safe, entertaining videos. RightNow Media has a free app that’s available on all major streaming devices so you and your family can access content anywhere, anytime.
