We’re looking for a Facilities Technician to help maintain and prepare our buildings for ministry activities and events, completing setups, repairs, cleaning, equipment checks, and other facility needs with a positive, service-minded attitude.
Job Responsibilities

- Be fully committed to the Great Commission, (Matthew 28:18-20), and its implementation at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Hold fast to the mission and support King of Kings Leadership in following Jesus, the Head of the Church.
- Be reliant on Him in prayer, be authentic in our relationship with each other, be courageous in serving Him, and be generous and love others to impact the world in ways He has uniquely called us to serve Him here at King of Kings.
- Required to serve at four all-in events (Christmas, Easter, and two campus-specific events).
- Championing of one church across many locations.
- Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Facilities Engineer, proactively maintains and prepares the facility for ministry activities and scheduled events.
- Completes all setups and teardowns listed in EMS.
- Completes all work orders assigned by Sr. Facilities Engineer.
- Makes needed semi-skilled repairs and maintains upkeep on the interior of the building and facility equipment (lights, plumbing, etc.).
- Responsible for ensuring requested equipment is in place and working order, room signs are up, placing/cleaning tables and chairs, and vacuuming floors.
- Verifies working order of sound equipment (TV, sound booth, DVD, etc.).
- Understand the operation of the fire and security systems and react to emergencies as outlined in the Emergency Action Handbook.
- Assists the Senior Facilities Technician with minor carpentry and electrical repairs, replaces lights and ballasts, strips/washes/waxes tile floors when needed, helps with installation/removal of office furniture, and performs all maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Assists in the receiving and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment ordered by the supervisor.
- Maintains proper heating and air-conditioning of the building via computer software program.
- Keeps all restrooms cleaned and stocked, including warehouse restrooms.
- Assists with building renovation, mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
- Helps the Grounds Maintenance Worker with mowing, trimming, snow removal, when assigned by the Sr. Facilities Engineer.
- Completes tasks and setups to the best of their ability with a positive attitude.
