Lutheran Women in Mission
I Street Campus
Serve the LORD with gladness! Psalm 100:2

About the Ministry
The Women in Mission (LWML) assists each woman of the church in using her gifts of service to minister to the people of our congregation, community, and God’s kingdom at large. This mission is accomplished through fellowship, Bible study, service projects, prayer, and offerings.
Proclaiming Christ
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all peoples!
Psalm 96:3
Supporting Missions
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
Mark 16:15
Equipping Women
Now may the God of peace … equip you with everything good that you may do his will.
Hebrews 13:20–21
Serving Others
As each has received
a gift, use it to serve
one another.
1 Peter 4:10a

Generosity in Action
Women In Mission (LWML) collect Mites based on the Biblical account of the widow’s mite (Luke 21:1–4), Mite Box are used for regular contributions of “mites”. Mite Box contributions amount to millions of dollars that fund district and national mission grants and implement the LWML program.
Mites are freely given offerings for the purpose of reaching out to others with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Districts still retain 75% of mite offerings for the work of the LWML at that level. National mites fund over $1 million in mission grants.
Find Community in a Group
An important part of the LWML is Bible studies in community. The women in LWML meet regularly in small groups where women can come together to grow and support each other in their relationships with God and each other. Groups meet nights, days, and mornings – so there’s a group that fits your schedule.
