Licensed Pastoral Counselor

About the Counselor

I am an ordained, Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association. I obtained my Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Cornerstone University. I’m also a Certified Temperament Counselor. I have over 23 years of combined lay and professional experience.

My desire is to help you truly heal from the damage caused by the afflictions of life. Things like fear, abandonment, neglect, rejection, abuse, shame, grief, unforgiveness, and bitterness all contribute to these difficulties. I invite the Holy Spirit to lead as we explore and address root issues contributing to the problems that need spiritual and emotional healing in order to receive restoration and gain freedom from past negative experiences and mindsets.

My approach includes bringing understanding in the area of temperament — why you think, feel and act the way you do — so I will assist you in understanding yourself and your needs more thoroughly and help you to discover your purpose and direction in life according to your God-given design.

We will work on spiritual growth and development in relationship with God and learn how to draw closer to Him to live full of peace and joy from your true identity as you learn to give and receive His love. You will also learn to develop skills to communicate well and have healthy relationships with others and with self.

I use a combination of modalities including prayer, inner healing, and counseling. I offer a faith-based ministry and as such will include prayer with and for clients and refer to the Bible and other respected sources.

On a personal note, my husband and I have been married for 39 years and we have three grown, married children and eight grandchildren. My walk with the Lord spans over 45 years and I have served in various capacities in my local church, including prayer ministry, prophetic ministry, inner healing, mentoring younger women and couples, and teaching.

I love working with Jesus as He sets the captives free so they can truly know their value and His love!
