Hey friends! I’d love to share an update on our incredible partnership with Hope Chest—a relationship that has become so much more than a program. It’s a vibrant community that truly feels like an extension of our King of Kings family. We’re thrilled to be sponsoring more than 128 amazing kids who are longing for better education, reliable food, and a safe place to live, play, and pray.
In the beautiful northern forest region of Guatemala, you’ll meet joyful children whose smiles light up the world. There’s Aaron, who dreams of playing in the NBA; Pedro, ready to become the next soccer superstar; and Mary, who hopes to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps as a secretary. Their dreams are big and bright, and it’s a gift to walk alongside them as they work toward a stable, hope-filled future.
What moves us most is the genuine gratitude and enthusiasm these kids carry. Their hearts overflow with love.

Through our care point, they receive not only a warm meal after school—which, for many, may be their only meal of the day—but also spiritual guidance, leadership development, arts instruction, and plenty of fun physical activities.
This ministry is about far more than meeting immediate needs. It’s about transforming lives. Over the next 15 years, we’re partnering with the children and families of Los Amantes to help them move from merely surviving to truly thriving, shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
Let me share something especially inspiring: Michelle, our care point director, is an absolute standout. She leads a team of eight dedicated staff members and shared this powerful reflection: “The children are learning every day what it means to live for Jesus and love their community by working hard for a better future.” As one of the youngest directors, Michelle leads with passion, humility, and deep belief in the children she serves. She is changing the world—one child at a time.
