An Update From Mike White

Dearest King of Kings,

I want to share an update about a significant development in my life. It’s with very mixed emotions — but full confidence in God’s leading — that I am choosing to transition out of my role and leave the staff at King of Kings. My wife Liz and I have not taken this decision lightly, but we trust this is the right decision for our family.

I received a call from King of Kings 10 years ago, and it has been my privilege to serve this congregation in a variety of roles. I will always cherish my time working with students and families, teaching in various ways, and partnering to reach our community with the love of Jesus through events and serving. Thank you for accepting this Texan and teaching me about Nebraska football — I’m sure the banter will continue! I look forward to sharing the Gospel of Jesus, as a part of this congregation, even though my role will be changing.

I will be on staff through Christmas, as we wrap up the year with gratitude. Our family will continue to be a part of King of Kings. We love the direction the church is going, all the new families, the Northwest Omaha campus, and the many programs and people. We are excited to worship together as a family and be engaged congregation members. I’m uncertain what’s next for me as far as work, but I feel confident in the Lord’s plan. I am going to take a couple of months to discern where God is leading me, and I ask for your prayers as I excitedly look forward to that next step.

It’s been a privilege to partner with you in sharing the Gospel over the last 10 years and I look forward to continuing to see you at King of Kings!

On Sunday, December 17, there will be a card basket available in the corridor if you would like to give Mike a thank you card for his ministry at King of Kings, and we’ll have a moment of prayer over Mike & Liz during services.
