Is your child ready to receive their First Communion? Enroll your students grades five and six in King of King’s First Communion Program (FCP) to lead them on a faith journey of contemplation and faith-based discussion to this holy Sacrament. FCP 2022 will include four events over the course of March and April. Cost is $70 and will include access to a four-week class, a weekend long retreat, a Sedar meal, and blessing items to be given to each communicant.

First Communion Class

This class is for students grads five and six, along with their parents. This class prepares young people to receive Holy Communion for the first time. We will learn what Holy Communion is and why we partake in Holy Communion as a congregation. Kids and parents will talk about faith-based issues each week.

First Communion Retreat
April 1-2 • Friday6-20PM • Saturday 8:30Am-3PM
This year, students and sponsors will participate in the exciting citywide “SuperStart” two-day event in Bellevue, NE. SuperStart is a nationwide, high-energy preteen event coming to Omaha/Bellevue this year! Students will grow in their relationships with each other and, most importantly, with God.
Note: This is not an over night retreat.

Seder Meal
April 6
King of Kings, 6:30-7:45PM
The Seder Meal is a celebration of the Passover Meal of the Old Testament. Students along with their parents will actively participate in this Old Testament tradition.

Blessing Event
Palm Sunday, April 10
Students will partake in Holy Communion with their families at the 9AM or 11AM Worship Services.
