Millard Campus Kids Ministry Director

General

• Uphold the mission of King of Kings to transform lives through connection to God, connection to each other, and connection to the World.
• Be fully committed to the Great Commission, (Matthew 28:18-20), and its implementation at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Hold fast to the mission and support King of Kings Leadership in following Jesus, the Head of the Church.
• Be reliant on Him in prayer, be authentic in our relationship with each other, be courageous in serving Him, and be generous and love others to impact the world in ways He has uniquely called us to serve Him here at King of Kings.

Primary

• Provide vision/direction to Millard Campus Kids Ministry and oversee staff/volunteers.
• Determine and implement the discipleship curriculum for birth to grade six.
• Raise strong volunteer teams and accentuate their passions and abilities.
• Execute Vacation Bible School on an annual basis.
• Design and implement events that encourage outreach and discipleship.
• Oversee First Communion, Mother-Daughter, and Father-Son retreat.
• Set a standard for character, spiritual growth, and performance in the ministry.
• Provide training and leadership support for volunteers.
• Encourage parents as primary faith influencers through resources, training, communication, and devotional support.
• Support the larger church for mission trips, conference presentations, webcasts, and online training for other leaders.
• Participate in and support all-staff events.
• Assist in launching Kids Ministry at other campuses (providing best practices).
• All other responsibilities as agreed upon with the Millard Campus Pastor.

Minimum Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in effective team leadership and large-group presentation.

Preferred Requirement

• Five-years of experience in Kids Ministry.

• Profess and adhere to the Confessional standards outlined in Article III of the Constitution of King of Kings.
• Be diligent in personal devotions and prayer.
• Has a heart and passion for loving kids and leading them to Jesus.
• Fully commit to the mission, vision, strategy, and core values of King of Kings.
• Willingness to cooperate in a multi-staff ministry; experience preferred
• Effective large-group and one-on-one communication, teamwork, organization, discernment, and cognitive skills required.

• Creative communicator. Must be able to connect with children.
• Must have a passion for serving God, serving children and families, and serving the unchurched.
• Strong walk with Jesus
