The Name Above Every Name
Narrated by Rebecca Seitchick
God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord… Philippians 2:9-II
Evil runs rampant in this life, causing anxiety, pain and death. We are not immune to the ills of this broken world, but because of Jesus, we know how our history will end. The Lord has laid on him the sum total of all sin and evil, and he endured it humbly and faithfully—for us! Evil put Jesus in the grave, but we know and believe the Easter sequel to his death—and we belong to him and with him for life forever.
Life is never hopeless for us, for Jesus Christ is Lord of all! Bow before him, whose name is victorious over every other.
REFLECT: Seek to do everything in the name of Jesus each day.
PRAY: Tune my heart to sing your praise, O Lord, for your name is truly triumphant over my sin and death. Amen.
