Going Deeper

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
How would you state what the writer might mean for us at King of Kings in the days ahead?

A five-Point Plan for facing the future with the LORD:

  1. Read Psalm 37:3– “Trust in the Lord, and do good.”
Why do you think the Psalmist begins with this admonition?
  1. Read Psalm 37:4– “Delight yourself also in the Lord.”
Can you make this a hallmark of your life in the coming year?
  1. Read Psalm 37:5– “Commit your way to the Lord.”
What would be required for you to commit the future to the LORD fully?
  1. Read Psalm 37:7– “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.”
Do you think resting in the LORD is so essential if you are to be blessed?
  1. Read Psalm 37:34 – “Wait on the Lord, and keep His way.”
Do you find most difficult as you wait for the LORD to fulfill His promises to you?

What is one thing your family will do in the coming year to be more a part of life at King of Kings?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, may we be encouraged to face our future under Pastor Greg’s leading by all that has happened in the years that You have guided us under Pastor Mark.
