Arvada Food Bank
 The special items we are collecting for the Arvada Food Bank this month are Cereal and Mac & Cheese.  Also, don't forget those personal hygiene items that are needed year round.  Thank you for your “SOUPER Bowl” donations last month!  Please contact Donna Rasmussen with questions at 303-421-9475 or jimras@comcast.net.

 Comfort Critters
 Do you remember your favorite stuffed animal friend?  Remember the comfort you got from having the critter?  Well, it's time to share the love with someone else.  We will be collecting gently loved stuffed animals this month.  Be sure and look for the collection tub!  Contact Nancy Hutchinson at marine_mom-2006@hotmail.com with questions.
 
Support Our Troops
 "Do unto others as you would have done to you."  Put yourself in the place of our platoon members in Afghanistan.  You are halfway across the world, away from your family and friends, in a strange land, feeling like you are spending Christmas alone.  BUT, then you receive these cool packages from a church in Colorado and they've sent some goodies.  I'm talking about cookies, fudge, sweet Christmas confections and... Christmas Cards!  Now.  Feeling better?  Ready to help out?  Please!  Make at least 13 (or any multiple of 13) of your favorite Christmas cookies (Rice Krispy treats travel well) and include a note encouraging them, thanking them for their service and even blessing them!  The Sunday School children have already made their cards for our platoon.  Where are yours?  ALL ITEMS WILL BE PICKED UP SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20th!  We are also in need of financial help to get these packages of goodies shipped.  It costs about $13 to send each box and we already have 7 boxes!  To all who have already made donations, thank you!  Please place donations on the black table to the right of the entrance.  If you are providing financial assistance, or have any questions, please see Nancy Hutchinson, marine_mom-2006@hotmail.com.
 
The committee meets monthly at 1:00, September 6, October 3, November 7, December 5.
