Upcoming Council Meeting
Our next scheduled meeting will be not be held until February 14, 2012.  If you have any concerns prior to the next meeting please contact Phil Jones at thejoneses06@gmail.com .  Our meetings are held at 7:00 pm in the Church basement, as always everyone is invited to attend. Our thanks to the congregation for all of your support and trust.

Ladies Time Out
Ladies Time Out is meeting on Thursday, January 26th at 11:30 a.m. at the home of Donna Rasmussen for lunch.  After lunch, the group will go see the movie Iron Lady, the story of Margaret Thatcher.  Please call Donna, 303-421-9475, by Tuesday, January 24th if you plan on attending.  Remember there is no group "membership".  All Ladies Time Out events are always open to everyone!

Couple’s Club
Couple’s Club resumes it’s regular meetings on Sunday, February 19th at 3:00 p.m. at Pastor and Tina’s house.  Contact Pastor Miller at pastormiller@kingofkings.org with questions.

Anne Nurge CD Available
KOK member Anne Nurge has made 25 copies of a special CD of her singing available in the church office for those interested.  A freewill donation for the CDs can be left in the church office or placed in the offering plate.

Congratulations!
Vicar Tim Lindeman was ordained at Peace Lutheran Church January 8th.  Tim had been youth minister of the youth program at Peace for 30 years.  The ordination was conducted by Rev. Roger Schlechte, Second Vice President of the Rocky Mountain District.  Congratulations, Pastor Tim!

Arvada Food Bank
The Arvada Food Bank’s focus for January is on the SOUPER Bowl... canned or dried soup is fantastic!  BUT, did you know that the AFB is always in need of personal items (deodorant, face soap, bar soap, shaving cream, feminine items, toothbrushes and toothpaste, especially for the kids)?  Your local Dollar Store is a great place to purchase these items.  Try the travel-size area at your grocery store, too.  The place to donate your items is to the right of the fellowship area.  Remember how greatly you are blessed and that you have been equipped by God to help others!  Please contact Donna Rasmussen with questions at 303-421-9475 or jimras@comcast.net.
